Only last week BYD introduced its German importer (Hedin Mobility, launch in October. Market entry also in Sweden at the same time). BYD was the world’s largest e-car manufacturer in the first half of 2022, with around 640.000 units, ahead of Tesla. Employes:~ 220.000. In addition, the company is the world’s largest producer of rechargeable batteries, primarily for mobile phones

Great Wall Motor

Great Wall Motor is one of the largest Chinese car manufacturers and employs more than 60,000 people worldwide. The manufacturer sold around 1.3 million units in 2021, a growth rate of 15 per cent compared to 2020.
Emil Frey plans to deliver the first units of Wey’s “Funky Cat” Ora BEV and “Coffee 01” PHEV SUV to customers in the final quarter of this year.
Ora is the lifestyle-oriented electric brand in the Great Wall brand portfolio. Slightly longer than Ora – since 2016 – there is the premium SUV brand Wey, named after Jack Wey, the founder of Great Wall.

Who is the Emil Frey Group?

Emil Frey is the largest car dealer group in Europe. In Germany, the company sold around 70,000 new and 40,000 used vehicles through its 80 car dealerships in 2021. Turnover:~ 2.7 billion euros.
The dealership group already acts as importer for Mitsubishi and Subaru – in addition, Emil Frey holds more than 25 other distribution contracts. Internationally, the company is active with over 23,000 employees at 680 locations
